Beef Broccoli (slow cooker fave)

Serves 4

– 1.5 pounds of flank steak, thinly sliced and chopped into 2 inch pieces 1 cup of beef broth
– 2/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
– 1/3 cup of brown sugar
– 1 tablspoon of sesame oil
– 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
– 1⁄4 teaspoon of red chili flakes
– 4 cups of broccoli florets
– 2 tablespoons of corn starch + 4 tablespoons of water
– Basmati rice

Butter your pan and add all ingredients, except for the broccoli and the corn starch to the slow cooker. Cover and cook for 2-3 hours on high or 4-5 hours on low.
In a small bowl whisk corn starch and water until dissolved. Add this mixture into the slow cooker and allow to cook for about 15 minutes.

Just before serving cook the broccoli in water for about 4-5 minutes and stir into the slow cooker. Serve immediate!

I like to serve it with basmati rice. Enjoy !
